Shin Bu Kan is a school run by Ishido Shizufumi Sensei (8th dan Hanshi) in Kanagawa, and our teacher is one of his students, Victor Cook (7th Dan Kyoshi).
There are several Shin Bu Kan dojos in the UK, in Guildford, Southampton, Rochester, Warwick, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. Shin Bu Kan dojos can also be found in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland.
Other schools in Canada emphasise the meditative elements of iai and precision of technique. These are important aspects that we do not neglect, but we teach Iaido primarily as a martial art.
